Karla Ortiz

Karla has worked in the entertainment industry for about 6 years , she has worked with Paragon Studios/Ncsoft, Ubisoft, Kabam, Industrial Light and magic.
She explains that she likes good music, good stories, good laughs and good food.

This image was the first I found of her work and I soon fell in love. I love how dark her illustration are and you can see natural talent through out her work.

What i love the most about this piece of hers is how dark it is but still a bit of light. The characters and interesting and you instantly get caught up in what happens next or what is this illustration about.

I found all her work on ...

William Simpson

William Simpson

I recently have been to event where I got to meet with William Simpson which was amazing.
I found that he had allot to say about the industry that I am interested in going in to.
He started of with drawing story boards then as he grew in the industry William went on to concept art for films and series.
William started in the industry with the company called British comics which included the comics Warrior and 2000 AD.He has since illustrated comic books for such industry heavyweights as DC comics and marvel comics.
I am very interested in Williams work and found his talk fascinating and educational and feel so lucky that I got to meet him.
What i like most about his work is that he still uses traditional methods but also modern methods. I really like his line work and you can see that he puts so much in his work which gives you so much inspiration.
I find his illustrations do the story telling by them selves with out the text which is what i find so professional and amazingly interesting.
William explained that working in the idustry is not always easy and you have to work very hard and end up when starting out using your own pocket but not to be taken as a mug at the same time.

Here is a Interveiw i found with William Simpson if you would like to read it.

There is not much information about this artist but I have found out what films he has worked on.

Film and Game Zombies

I am looking at a Book called zombies by Russ Thorne.

Hear is a image of what the book looks like if you are wanting to get it.

From a young age i have been interested in mythical creatures from good to bad.
Hear i am looking at Zombies which is a very large part of modern pop culture.
I want to look at films and gaming in this blog as i have a huge interest in them.

The walking dead ( very popular at the moment)
I love the drawing style of the comics and fell i love with the story line.
Tony Moore is one of the team of artist who illustrate the comics.

http://www.tonymooreillustration.com/covers

Tony Moore illustrated one of my favorite covers of the comics trad paper backs. I don't now why i love this cover so much it just the cover that stands out to me the most.
Moore was Born in Kentucky. When at school he became friends with Robert Kirkman, which soon became partners with there comic book illustrations.
Their first comic book together was battle Pope in 2000.
In 2003 Kirkman and Moore created Invincible for images new superhero line. The story surrounded the adolescent son of the worlds most powerful superhero, who develops powers and starts his own superhero career.
But later on Kirkman was not meeting deadlines and was replaced by Ryan Ottley.
Later on the pair of them went to work on The walking Dead in 2003.
Kirkman also worked for marvel.
They both inspired each other through their work.
